Mercy Care Integrated Care Training Institute

Behavioral health issues such as addiction, anxiety and depression are often thought of as secondary, although they have an impact on health outcomes. That’s why it’s so important to treat behavioral and physical health together with an integrated care plan.

The Mercy Care Integrated Care Training Institute offers a variety of office-based training and education specifically focused on this integrated care model.  Through the Training Institute, Mercy Care helps support medical professionals in providing integrated care services through a series of office-based training sessions.

Training sessions target primary care physicians (PCPs), skilled nursing facilities/assisted living facilities and behavioral health professionals. The Training Institute offers CME credit at no charge to medical professionals.

Join the Training Institute for a training session for DO, MD, NP and PAs on best practices for early identification and management of Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). Register here!

Learning and Performance

Mercy Care's Learning and Performance department values collaborative, transparent knowledge sharing. We are dedicated to providing effective, high-quality training to our provider community. We’re here to help our providers meet the needs of our consumers and support them on their road to recovery and resiliency.

Mercy Care's Learning and Performance is comprised of experienced professionals. We modify our training offerings and teaching styles to meet the roles, duties, operations, regulations and needs of those in our programs.  We offer scheduled face-to-face trainings, scheduled conference-call trainings, and self-directed technology-based trainings.

Our curriculum focuses on understanding and teaching clinical and behavioral practices in prevention and treatment. We use the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration and the Health Resources and Services Administration, SAMSHA-HRSA Core Competencies for Integrated Behavioral Health and Primary Care as a guide to align topics and requirements in accordance with state regulations.
